– 1 (16-oz) loaf frozen bread dough – 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened – 1/3 cup brown sugar – 2 tablespoons white sugar – 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon For brushing – 1 tablespoon melted butter For topping – Icing or frosting of choice, optional

Place frozen bread dough in lightly oiled bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let thaw and rise until doubled in bulk. Once dough is ready, combine softened butter, both sugars and cinnamon in a small bowl until a paste forms.

Roll dough into a rectangle of roughly 10x15 inches on a lightly floured surface. Evenly spread with butter mixture. Roll dough into a log starting from the longer side.

Pinch the seam to seal, then cut into 10-12 slices.

Place sliced cinnamon rolls into a greased 9-inch pie plate. Cover and let sit on the counter until puffy, 45-60 minutes.

Heat oven to 360°F. Brush cinnamon rolls with 1 tablespoon melted butter, then bake in the hot oven for around 20 minutes, or until lightly golden. Spread warm rolls with frosting, if desired.
